Vinyl vs Wood

Beautiful Vinyl Siding for a Fairfield County Home

Vinyl siding has come a long way! If you love the idea of maintenance free siding that never needs painting, but are concerned about the aesthetics of vinyl, then you might want to check out some of the new products available – in particular at CertainTeed.com

Wood is beautiful, but who has the time or desire to scrape, prime, and paint it to keep it maintained … or wants to pay for someone to do it? Not to mention the sealing of cracks and other prep work to protect your home from leaks, insects, and mold.

Vinyl is easy to install, provides it’s own layer of insulation, and really does a better job of “sealing” up your exterior.

Some of the vinyl siding products available are offered in vibrant, rich colors that are much less susceptible to fading. Many look like real wood, with different styles of grain, along with matching accents – eave vents, trim, shutters, and lighting trim.

Give me a call to discuss the different siding options and we can have a no-pressure conversation about what the costs might be.
